Overcoming Adversity and Redefining My Path
By WelshDog (Lyndon Williams)
Life has a way of throwing curveballs when you least expect them. A work accident cost me my teeth, a loss that hit me hard—physically and emotionally. It was a blow to my confidence, and for a while, I felt diminished, unsure of how to move forward. The incident even followed me into the digital world, where I experienced a deeply embarrassing moment during a live stream that left me questioning my place.
But I've never been one to back down from a challenge. Determined to carve out a new path, I began exploring different careers, each transition shaped by the limitations my hands were facing. Tree cutting was no longer an option, so I turned to coding and graphic design—worlds far removed from my earlier life, but ones where my mind could flourish. I found a fresh passion in these creative and digital spaces.
Starting my own business felt like the culmination of everything I had learned, but it was a rocky road. From handyman work to print-on-demand services and trying to go viral on social media, each venture tested my resilience. It was during this time that I began to see how ADHD had played a role in both my successes and struggles—pushing me to explore new possibilities while also making it difficult to stick to just one.
