Raising ADHD Awareness – Why I Create Content About Neurodiversity

Getting an ADHD diagnosis later in life changed everything for me. For years, I lived in a constant cycle of frustration and confusion, trying to make sense of why I felt so "different." Now that I understand how my brain works, I want to share my journey and help others feel less alone.

ADHD is often misunderstood. It’s not just about being hyper or "unable to focus." It’s about how we process emotions, manage energy, and navigate tasks that might feel overwhelming. Growing up, I didn’t have the support I needed to succeed in school or relationships because no one recognized what was happening. Instead, I was labeled "lazy" or "difficult." These labels stuck with me for decades, shaping how I saw myself and my abilities.

That’s why I’m passionate about creating content about ADHD and neurodiversity. It’s not just about raising awareness—it’s about fostering understanding. I want to help people realize they’re not alone, whether they’re living undiagnosed, newly diagnosed, or simply trying to support a neurodivergent loved one.

These videos aren’t about "giving people excuses" or "slapping on a label." They’re about empowerment. When we understand how our brains work, we can stop blaming ourselves and start building lives that work for us. It’s about finding tools, strategies, and communities that uplift us rather than tear us down.

For anyone out there who feels like they’re "too much" or "not enough," I want you to know: you’re not broken. You’re not lazy. You’re different—and that’s okay. By sharing my story, I hope to create a space where neurodiversity is celebrated, not misunderstood.

Let’s keep the conversation going. Let’s educate ourselves and others. And most importantly, let’s remind one another that being different isn’t a flaw—it’s a strength
