Hey there! Welcome to Hyperfocus Mode, a space where I share my journey navigating life with dyslexia, ADHD, and autism. This blog is all about celebrating unique minds and exploring the creative paths we carve out in our everyday lives.

A Little About Me

I first discovered I had dyslexia on my first day of college when they gave me a test. School had always been a struggle for me, especially with spelling and words, but I never really knew why. It was both a relief and a challenge to finally have a name for what I was going through. Now, years later, I’ve learned to embrace how my mind works, even if it’s not the traditional way.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is starting my own business. I’ve tried so many different projects, from handyman work and grass cutting to running an online print-on-demand store with my own designs. At one point, I even went viral on social media! The journey hasn’t been easy, but each step has taught me something new. My dream is to own an amusement arcade where everything is free, and you just pay to get in. It might sound wild, but with my unique way of thinking, I believe anything’s possible.

What Is Hyperfocus Mode?

"Hyperfocus Mode" is how I describe my brain’s ability to zero in and tackle problems in ways others might not think of. For example, when I was building a log cabin for my dad, I played out the entire project in my head, like watching a movie. Each cut, each screw—I saw it all before I even started. That’s the power of my hyperfocus, and I’ve learned to trust it.

This blog is where I’ll be sharing my experiences and strategies for managing life with neurodiverse conditions. From organizing daily tasks to finding creative ways to solve problems, I hope to offer something for everyone.

What You’ll Find Here

At Hyperfocus Mode, I’ll be sharing a mix of personal stories, creative tips, and helpful insights for navigating life with dyslexia, ADHD, and autism. Here’s what you can expect:

• Personal Experiences: Honest reflections on my highs and lows—like the time I built a log cabin or tried to go viral on social media.

• Creative Problem-Solving: How I use my hyperfocus to think outside the box, whether it’s playing out a project in my mind or using tools like ChatGPT to help me stay organized.

• Tools & Strategies: From using my smartphone as my all-in-one organizer to learning anything I need on YouTube, I’ll share practical ways to manage everyday life.

• Community & Connection: A place where we can come together, share stories, and remind each other that we’re not alone in this journey.

Why I’m Writing This Blog

I started Hyperfocus Mode because I wanted to show that there’s no "one-size-fits-all" way of thinking. Having dyslexia, ADHD, or autism doesn’t mean you’re limited—it means you’re different, and that difference can be a strength. Everyone’s path is unique, and I hope that by sharing mine, you’ll feel inspired to embrace your own.

I want this blog to be a place where you can see that it’s okay to approach things differently. Whether you have dyslexia, ADHD, autism, or you’re just here to learn, I hope Hyperfocus Mode gives you something valuable. My goal is to remind you that you’re not alone, and that you can do amazing things—your own way.
